Caryn Kayton, A Farmville Local

Caryn is the owner CEO of Caryn’s Bridals, Formals & Tuxedos. She graduated from Longwood University with two degrees in education. She had found out early that her true love was to open her own store. Caryn’s Creations was born. It started out as a fabric and craft store and then transformed into a bridal business. She has successfully run her business for 36 years and she cherishes how much her store has flourished within the tight-knit community of Farmville.

Bringing Salem Chapel Back to Life

This love and passion is what drove her to renew and renovate Salem Chapel. Caryn has always had a love for old buildings and “bringing them back to life.” It was the perfect opportunity to incorporate the bridal store while also challenging her with the task of creating an event space for families and friends to enjoy. Caryn hopes to make wedding planning an easy process for everyone.
