A Friendly and Traditional Setting

Salem Chapel is a welcoming and unique space that can hold up to 115 guests. It has been completely refurbished and additions have been made to give this space a fluid and open feel while still keeping the history within the chapel.
Within the chapel there is a traditional ceremony space with high ceilings and original pews. There is also a groomsmen suite and cocktail reception area in the chapel. An additional ballroom has been added to the chapel that is perfect for a reception area/dance floor. In the basement of the chapel, there is a bridal suite and catering quarters.

Its History

This beautiful chapel was built in 1884 and named after the Hebrew word “Shalom” (or Salem) which means Peace. It is believed that the name was chosen after the battle of Sailor’s Creek that followed the end of the Civil War. For years, this chapel was renowned for sharing the Gospel and taking an active role in its community.
